G0NORM#
- G0NORM = 0.823#
Dimensionless surface gravity in MAS code unit.
MAS defines a dimensionless gravitational acceleration profile
\[g_\text{code}(r) = \frac{G_0^\text{norm}}{r^2}\]so that the surface value \(g_\text{code}(1) = G_0^\text{norm} = 0.823\). The physical surface gravity is then \(g_0 = G_0^\text{norm}\,L_0/T_0^2\), which gives
\[T_0 = \sqrt{\frac{G_0^\text{norm}\,L_0}{g_0}} \approx 1446\;\text{s}.\]The value 0.823 is a calibration choice made when deriving
FNORMT; it is not a universal solar constant.
